Cruise the Coast…
If you’re a motorcycle lover, you have probably visited Friday the 13th in Port Dover. This year’s August event (next weekend) will mark its 50th rally and expects over 100,000 people. If you’re not a fan of the crowds, it is a great place to “cruise the coast” at other times of the year. Port Dover to Long Point is a very scenic, hilly ride right along the shores of Lake Erie with lots of nice places to stop for lunch such as Normandale and Port Rowan. Be sure to get your copy of the Cruise the Coast map which is a water-proof, fold-up map identifying routes, things to do and more. You can call 1-800-699-9038 or visit http://www.cruisethecoast.ca for your copy. Or follow Cruise the Coast on Facebook for constant updates. Enjoy the ride.

Less Than an Hour’s Drive…
Need to get out of the city and find a nice sandy beach to cool your toes? – look no further than Norfolk County (Ontario’s South Coast) – less than an hour away from Hamilton. Simply cruise down Hwy #6 towards Port Dover, where the sandy beach sits right in the downtown full of shops and restaurants. Or cruise along the coast a few more minutes to Turkey Point beach or Long Point Beach. You won’t believe your eyes when you see the sun and sand (think Hawaii!!) There are even palm trees in Port Dover!!  Hope to see you soon.

VISITOR CENTRES ARE OPEN

A true sign of the summer season is the opening of the Visitor Centres throughout Norfolk County.  Our friendly staff are on hand everyday until Labour Day to help you find your way around the area, places to stay, things to do and places to eat.  Visitor Centres are located downtown Simcoe in Wellington Park, downtown Port Dover in the Board of Trade office and in Port Rowan right on Bay Street.  We would love to hear where you've travelled from and why you have chosen to visit Norfolk County.  Have a wonderful stay, enjoy the weather, the sights and sounds and we look forward to having you return again and again.
