Norfolk County’s Agriculture Program

Norfolk County continues to promote its status as Ontario’s Garden, especially since Statistics Canada data has recently confirmed the agricultural prowess of our community.

Norfolk County farmers are Canada’s Number One growers of asparagus, cabbage, sour cherries, ginseng, other specialty vegetables, peppers, pumpkin, squash, zucchini, strawberries, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. Norfolk County is also Ontario’s Number One grower of blueberries, rye and Saskatoon berries. Other data and resources are available on this website.

Norfolk County’s Agriculture Program is coordinated by the Tourism & Economic Development Division of the municipality of Norfolk County, located along Ontario’s South Coast in Canada. Components of this program include:

Norfolk County Council appoints several local farmers and others to the Agricultural Advisory Board, which meets regularly to advise on matters related to agriculture in the municipality. You can find more information on the AAB web page.
