Check out these interesting parts of the Lynn River Music & Arts Festival, held on the Civic Holiday weekend in August in Simcoe.
Pancakes in the Park are served Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 7am to 1pm, a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Simcoe. Don’t forget to purchase your ticket for the Adopt-A-Duck Race (limit of 500 raffle tickets).
Art with Heart Kids Zone
Available all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday, kids can enjoy face painting, lawn games, pony rides, and youth stage performances. Wake Up and Dance with Laura, build and paint a bird feeder, bring your own shirt for tie-dye fun, and meet Andy the Balloon Guy!
More than 70 craft, merchandise and food vendors offer high-quality goods and services in Wellington Park and Clifton Park.
Music and More Music
It all starts off on Friday with “Rockabilly on the River” presented by Toyotetsu Canada, one of Simcoe’s biggest employers, Rockabilly on the River runs from 6pm to midnight, features three bands , classic car show, and a pin up parade. Refreshment Tent (featuring Ramblin’ Road Beer and others) is also open. Then come back for Saturday’s Blues & Norfolk Rock (12 musicians and groups), Homegrown Psychedelic Sunday (12 more bands), and Rural Roots Monday (4 more bands).
Monday’s Pie Auction
With the help of auctioneer / host Darleen Degrieck, pies will be auctioned every hour between music sets on the main stage from 11am to 4pm on Monday. Pies are supplied by excellent Norfolk County restaurants: Kaley’s, Urban Parisian, Trish’s Bakery, Erie Beach Hotel, The Barrel, British Baked Goods, The Combine / Lago, Joy Bakery, Wholesome Pickins, Schofields, Harmony Bakery, among others.
