In Dutch, this sandwich is called Overheerlijke Boterham met Aardbeien.
- Freshly baked white bread, sliced from Norfolk County bakery
- Butter or coconut oil, if you wish
- Strawberries from Norfolk County, sliced
- White sugar
Apply butter or coconut oil to slice of bread. Top with sliced Norfolk County strawberries. Sprinkle with sugar. Serve.
“We used to eat this back in The Netherlands when we were kids (and I still eat this!!!). It is a very normal basic recipe that everyone knows but not here in Canada!
