Dressing properly at this time of year is a key element. Add layers and cover up. It’s challenging to enjoy being outside when you are cold the whole time. It is always easier to take off layers if you get too warm!! Visit some of the amazing local shops to find unique winter wear. (Check out the Yarn Bombing Event in Simcoe on Nov 12.)
Another fun way to be active while supporting our awesome local businesses is to come out to Port Dover on November 18th for the annual ChristmasFest. It is always a superb opportunity to walk around the downtown core. Start with the Christmas parade at 1:15pm and meet Santa afterward. Don’t miss the Moonlight Madness sales all over town and make a plan to walk on the beach and join in the caroling around the bonfire and the fireworks over the lake.
