  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 lb beef stew meat
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp Pristine Gourmet canola oil
  • 2 cups Cider Keg fresh apples cider
  • 2 Tbsp Cider Keg apple cider vinegar
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, quartered, sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 celery stalk, sliced
  • 1 apple, sliced

Combine flour, salt, pepper and thyme in bowl. Toss stew beef into flour mix. Brown with canola oil in a Dutch oven. Stir in cider, water and cider vinegar. Bring to boil. Add bay leaf. Simmer meat until tender. Add balance of ingredients and cook until vegetables are tender.

Serves 6.
