People from various tourist attractions in Norfolk County toured “Amazing Places” named by the Long Point World Biosphere. Among the stops was Sand Hill Park, a campground and lakefront park that has been in the Alton family for five generations.

During the stop, tour participants were challenged to climb to the peak of the sand hill, where they were rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of Lake Erie. A live video captured the moment, and many people commented about memories of Sand Hill Park on social media.
Other stops during the Amazing Places tour were Long Point Bird Observatory, Long Point Provincial Park, The Country Fork, Backus Heritage Conservation Area, Blueberry Hill Estate Winery and Port Rowan Wetlands.
