Six years ago, Norfolk County entrepreneur Gregg McLachlan co-founded Tweetfolktours. The initiative became an award-winning rural social media phenomenon, gaining attention on both sides of the border. In the first four years of the project, more than 100 weekly free tour events were held at rural businesses and experiences.
Gregg has decided to relaunch the tours in Norfolk County, Ontario in 2019 with a few changes. Events will be held monthly during the spring, summer and fall seasons rather than weekly as in previous years. One other big change is that Instafolktours has now been added. Each event will be a combined Tweetfolktour and Instafolktour. Attendees will have the option to choose which stream they wish to sign up for each month. Space will always be limited to ensure every event maximizes the experience for participants.
The anticipated launch date for the tours will be April/May. Stay tuned on Gregg’s social media feeds! Events have already been hand-picked for 2019.
