1 quart strawberries, large
1 cup apple juice
1 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup white sugar
Black pepper
Combine apple juice, balsamic vinegar and sugar in sauce pan. Heat and stir, reduce to half.
Place strawberries on skewers. Drizzle sauce over berries. Season with cracked black pepper.
When reducing, if sauce becomes too thick, add more apple juice. If it becomes too thin, reduce some more.
Sauce can be stored in fridge. It is also good over heirloom tomatoes.
